I do have a bit of dependence going on because of this “task dosing”, but it eases off quickly with a simple capsule or two when the kratom withdrawals are evident (for me, this is achy all over, just barely. If busy, it’s not noticeable). Continue to rest and only use a capsule or two the rest of the day prn (as needed) except for one lowish to normal dose for one more commitment this afternoon. By morning I’m back to the same basic 1.5 tsp dose size with pretty good benefits.

Robie, I tend to wonder if you can replace that ibuprofen with an anti inflammatory herb? Have you tried akuamma or incarvillea sinensis instead? I sympathize with that very real need.

I was so glad I ran like the wind while my pain was managed earlier today. Got lots done for Mom to have a nice home while I’m dog sitting (starts Thursday). Only vacuuming and bedding left to do by Wed afternoon. Fellowship meetings as well. And grocery shopping is partially done. I barely got food on our lunch plates when my muscles started cramping up! Now I’m walking around like a 90 year old - staying lying down until my evening meeting.

THANKS TO THIS GROUP for the support, encouragement and love <3

I have not tried those Laurie. But I'm dadgum more than willing to give it a go. It's hard to sleep with the pain. And forget taking Advil 6 hours before bed. It messes with my sleep also. I have lucid nightmares on top of the pain dreams. I'm sure you're familiar with the pain dreams. Does Rob sell those herbs? I need something and fast. I need sleep. I love dreaming but not the horror shows of my dreamscapes as of late. I am very open to suggestions. I'm literally wasting away. Before this last horsepital debacle I weighed 132 lbs, it took me 3 years to get up to that weight after 2012, and now I'm down to 120 lbs because of the antibiotics and the sleeplessness.

I'm sure your mother is going to be very happy with all you are doing for the home. What a sweet, dear soul you are. I hope you feel better and try not to over do it? We humans tend to be our own worst enemy in that regard. I can get in trouble that way and have!

Be blessed Laurie and thank you!

Robie and Laurie,

Robie :
I’m bummed to hear about your present predicament.. I agree that Akuamma is a great herb to have on hand and use by itself or even with your Kratom dose... very effective pain control, haven’t tried incarvillea sinensis yet but it’s my herbal list of herbs to aquire ....

Laurie ..

Good job on tapering down, and for busting but while the going was good !!! Good form !!! Your strong and brave to do this, I’m sure it will pay off come tomorrow (L)

Thinking and wishing both of you the best ...

I take Kratom whenever I feel the need for it ... most of the time it works , sometimes not ... then I take a different strain and might add a little bit more ... or take some Akuamma in combination to Kratom!!

Much love ,!much respect

Feel better sooner than not ,; if only it were that easy ..!!.

Maybe it will be next dose time :)

Hello Mr Candidate!

Yes, read the email I sent you and then order with Rob so long as you have a capsule making tool.

I haven’t found incarvillea capsules with an ILK vendor yet (please post if I overlooked someone)...

some new vendors are changing the landscaping of the kratom shopping experience a bit (room for everyone with these recent legality wins thanks to the AKA), and we are working to study the expanded market and getting familiar with their specialties, listing some of them as approved soon.

Hopefully that need (for incarvillea in capsules) will be met as we go forward...

Littlebear3-

Your posts are always helpful - and enjoyable.

We both have that random sweating thing. It IS more likely to occur just before I wake from sleeping. But it sometimes occurs mid whatever. It’s like a niacin rush to the head with beads of sweat and then gone (not as uncomfortable as niacin rush)?

What other symptoms do you get from not dosing? I think we are all extremely different in how well we do without it, so I never dismiss someone’s concerns just because the effects I experience are nominal.

Seems to be a very individualized issue.

Evening everyone :-h
Robie- quickly give you my list, hope you feel better soon. I feel the same way on NSAIDs, thought I was the only one.
Anti inflammatory botanicals
I do moringa powder with turmeric(black pepper) and sliced ginger simmered in green tea. My anti inflammatory potion.
From Rob(In Sense)
Chuchuhuasi- I get best results for inflammation. Its the least sedating.
I have luck with Akuamma and Incarvillea Sinensis. all are relaxing you might have best luck adding along with kratom. Goal is to reduce your NSAIDs.
Corydalis- I had NO luck with this herb in reducing inflammation at 2 grams. It worked for muscle soreness and I had a nice relaxing nap.

Lately I have been using ice packs. The gel ones are super cold and they are flexible.

Also some herbs take a few days to weeks before the full anti inflammatory benefits take effect.
I am waiting for an order of a Glucosamine Sulfate compound supplement.
For cartilage, ligaments, tendons and connective tissue support, I developed a nasty case of tendinitis from the knees down. I was only able to heal maybe 45% on my own with R.I.C.E technique. I will report back after a month of use.

Hey Robie, you might want to research "lucid dreaming". Lol, just reading about it might help you get better dreams! The people who research it are very interesting.

Philip Jose Farmer, the SF writer best known for his Riverworld series (which was eventually made into a SF channel mini-series), wrote a book based on the research into it.

Yadda, yadda, yadda, supposedly with a little practice you can start steering your dreaming down a more pleasant path.

Failing that, try considering bad dreams as being a purging of the psyche, and thus symptomatic of a healthy mind that doing its proper upkeep. Now if only it worked unobtrusively like a Roomba, lol.

Ooh, I just remembered, get the free (and no ads!) open source app for Android called Binaural Beats. Try to listen with headphones, or at least stereo. So many good selections! The ones for sleeping, and dreaming, are powerful.

Youtube has some of their/similar stuff.

The ones for pain deserve a thread, lol, as does the one for concentration and study. The android app is very simple to use and uses little power. I wouldn't mess with the settings, they're good to go. Except volume of course, adjust that as desired, though low volume works just as well as high volume. Barely audible can be fine.

Edit: Woops, I have two versions of this app, apparently, and here's the minimalist one I prefer. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co...nauralbeats&hl=en_US

Hi Nan70! My Glucosamine came and I'm taking it twice a day. Possibly for multiple reasons, but my knee is now feeling better. I can even more reliably get it to "crack" when I do deep knee bend, like the other knee was getting all along.

Babel-17,

Thanks for reminding me to comment on the “pain dreams”. Robie, I don’t have those - that I am aware of.

I’ve never heard of them yet until today. I’m curious...please share if comfortable and I’ll google it.
