I'm happy to hear about the upcoming inclusion of Stem and Vein.

So far, I just took a small serving 40 minutes ago, I think this blend of blends has been improved by substituting a bit of Black Bali for an equivalent amount of what currently is in it. I'm going to go ahead and add the Black Bali, plus an equal weight of Hirsuta and stem and vein so as to keep that ratio the same, into my jar that I have at the ready.

Your Gold Leaf White Hulu is potent, which is what I wanted, and it doesn't lack in helping with mood as well as energy, but the blend of the two Red Dragons, plus the fuzzy dragon, was already leaning the blend towards being very fiery. The Kx helped balance that, as does the stem and vein. The Hirsuta is sort of neutral in that it's on the upbeat side, and while it helps with inflammation I don't see it adding much "chill".

The Black Bali is quite chill, and to continue using metaphors, it helps in giving this Royal Kraken some of the reserve, and above it all aloofness, we associate with a powerful monarch having loads of, to be deployed as needed.

Your Gold MD could probably serve as well for this, if I was going to stick with just InSense/Gold Leaf. Lol, it was hard to not seize on the Black Bali when I remembered the ink from the Kraken of that commercial I linked to. A dark Red would probably be a good substitute as well. The Black Bali isn't really black anyway.

Babel-17,

These combinations are interesting, I would definately be interested is hearing about your results, I see you have started by choosing some of our strains and blends, Kx etc.

I always want to know if you find something that really provides what you need, so please keep me informed.

We will be getting Stem and Vein in the near future. :)

Thanx

Yadda, yadda, yadda, The King (edit: I forgot to use "Royal" instead of King) is pretty fierce, and I was gobsmacked last night when I saw my bag of Black Bali, which could sort that out, and I remembered that of course "the ink" should have some black in it. It's even mentioned in that fun commercial I linked to.

I split my stockpile of this into two bags so everything will have to go back in the mixing bowl as I add in a 50/50 ratio of Black Bali, and Hirsuta and my stem and veins. If my math is right then I need to take this new mix and use it to increase the weight of what I have by 20%. I'll update later!

This gave an "I took an impressive serving of Kratom" feeling without any part of the sense of that being overly assertive. Pretty intense though, even at the low amount used for testing. It was a bit soothing to have my third serving be that of Super Green Malay. Unsurprisingly, RKK is more for the earlier parts of the day. RKK wasn't make me feel wired (well, not too wired that I felt concern), nor was it lacking in enabling a serene upbeat mood, and helping in keeping the fun factor in the day's progress. But it is a bit "on point" when taken as part of getting to things.

Tomorrow I'll finish cleansing the palate by using a Gold MD from Soflo as the lead off hitter, and following that will be the RKK.

I'm thinking we'll keep the magic smoke as being "dealer's choice", and subject to whim. ;)

Maybe just keep that as the last ingredient at the end of making the Royal Kraken, and only make up your mind in that moment.

It dawned on me an hour or so ago that I might want to rename this.

No way I'll be responsible for Kraken King Kratom!

And not be too "woke" but I try to stay away from perpetuating gender stereotypes needlessly. So I've switched the name of this epic being to that of the "Royal Kraken".

RKK is OK with me. Royal Kraken Kratom.

The King's reign looks like it will be reasonably long. Long Live the King, and the next one up might have an even better turn up at bat. I had an omelette just a short while ago, so I'm figuring on another 20 minutes or so.

So far, so very nice. It rose up, ready to rumble, very quickly. I took it less than an hour ago, my first serving of the day (I'm a night-owl).

I concocted a batch of the Kraken King that was as large as the smallest packet of essential ingredients allowed. With so many ingredients though, the total amount is pretty impressive. It came to about 140 grams, with half the weight being Hirsuta and my five stem and vein varieties.

I slightly botched how I was keep a running tally, and at the end when I reweighed everything I saw I was a few grams shy of what it should be. Inspiration struck, and rather than add a bit of this and that I took my jar of the Pink Willy blend from Tea Time and I figured, an epic mythological creature can benefit from a bit of "magic smoke"*, so I added a heavy teaspoon of it in.

I'll say this has a "regal" vibe to it, as you'd expect from a Tea that has "King" as part of its name. This has had a very well rounded and consistent feel to it so far. I'm hoping that my desire for it having endurance pans out. As its half Hirsuta and stem and vein, I'm cautiously optimistic.

My final/fourth serving last night (early morning) was cancelled as it would have come just before going to bed. And I took this at a time when more normally I'd be on my second serving, so this was a tough way for it to have it's audition, so to speak.

So I'll break my normal protocol and take it again, in a little while.

*"magic smoke" has special meaning among hard core consumers of gaming hardware. It's akin to "secret sauce" but a bit different, as "magic smoke" refers to the manufacturer somehow getting their hardware to perform better than it was expected to, given its specifications.

Nintendo is possibly the most respected for their success in injecting magic smoke into their hardware. Modest specifications, but often with amazing performance, given its known limitations.
