Sometime in the past somebody here at ILK suggested that we post our own blends and how they work for us.

I don't remember who it was that suggested it.

I've been experimenting with blends and was going to post my results but I didn't know if I should start a new topic and where to put it. :-?

Suggestions? :cheer:

Typo: some strains could welcome "partner strains", and SOME strains work best alone

Your experience and thinking is similar to mine on reds, etc.
My physics/engineering thinking leads me to believe some heavier, more powerful, reactive strains can overcome subtler less powerful strains.
My wife, an acupuncturist and Chinese medicinal herbs Practioner (whose system cannot tolerate any type of kratom), sees all herbs as falling into the "Traditional Five Elements" categories, so specifically some strains could welcome "partner strains", and strains work best alone.

But this is pure speculation on my part, as my body hpresents so many different conditions, it takes quite awhile for me to trust a personal conclusion.

However I do know the strains I have been using are a quality of life game changer for me.
Up until April I utilized Kratom for just aches and stiffness associated exclusively with surfing.
In April I ruptured an Achilles Tendon, and the Kratom and post operative acupuncture and herbal treatments had me surfing 6 weeks after the injury.
And last week I had a hip replacement. And the Kratom has been an essential element to that same integrative approach.

But with this I have recently been interested in expanding my Mitragyna knowledge and taking in the experiences of others.
But "Integrative" and "Visualization" are key elements to finding joy in life at age 70.

And for me the most essential integrative element is kindness. We all have such a challenge, in seeing and being ourselves. And kindness to others teaches us how to be kind to ourselves. Kindness to ourselves provides us our true sense of self.
Visualization follows. If we only think about our pain, or disappointment,... That's all we are capable of experiencing. We visualize kindness, then we begin to visualize freedom. ... from pain, resentment, discouragement.

Apologies for the rant. But Mytragina is part of a group of plants that is a sacrament.
And I encounter quite few people who are smart enough to use the herb, but clueless how to integrate their being along with the solution.

When I was a kid, a farmer neighbor of mine laughed and told me "Son,... not only do you not know the answers,.... You don't know the questions!"

Peace,
Steven

Mostly I have been buying quality kratom. All Reds are pain relieving for me but I find the more sedating reds an unpleasant experience. I have recently been adding white strains to my sedating red strains which change the experience to mostly positive.
Whites alone for me pain relief duration is too short, I tend to get headaches and I am not a fan of hyper focus when I do not have a tedious project to finish, but white strains liven up a lack luster Red.
So my opinion of counter active strains is it adds life to red strains I put aside in my no fly pile.

How have you been nice to see you around the forum

Think you can come up with some pretty neat blends by mixing the opposites… For example whites and reds, certain whites and reds can make for a very pain relieving yet energetic effect… ,I tend to go with greens and add red if I need any more pain relief or Add some weight in the mix if I need more energy… Let us know if you come up with any awesome blends !!shakabrah B-) (L)

Hope your Feeling better from your hip replacement… Be good brother

What are the opinions of the forum community, in terms of combining "doses" of "counter active" strains?
Example: Taking 5 capsules of a heavily analgesic Red with 5 capsules of a "light and lively" Gold.

For perspective, I self cap 000 capsules, which typically weigh out at 0.4 grams. And I take usually between 5 and 10 capsules a variable times per day.

thanks!
